Adding Sound

Hi everybody! Christine and I are continuing with our project and were looking for some ideas on how to add short segments from songs and sound clips/effects to remix into our video (we are making it on iMovie). We already got one song off of iTunes, but were looking to just get clips from songs and effects. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to get these? We heard about the program Garage Band and were going to start there. Any other advice would be great! Thanks!

depending on the type of sound effect, you might be able just to google it. a friend sent me a webpage full of different sheep bleats when i was doing my sheepdog video. (sheep sounds at http://www.adoptafarm.com/lambsounds.htm)

there were a bunch just asking to be copied...

Check out Audacitytoo (Audacity is free, open source software for recording and editing sounds.) and muck around with creating your own sound effects if you have time (Audacity is also excellentfor editing sound files, too). Here's a link to an online sound effects archive, too http://www.grsites.com/sounds/. There are other archives online as well. Just Google 'em.

Great-thank you so much. I can't believe how many unique sounds there are to choose from and how easy it was to add them to our I-Movie.
Thanks!
