Multimedia in the Classroom Awards Competition

I got an email today about the Chase Multimedia in the Classroom Awards. Some of the stuff you guys did this fall might qualify (think Smokey Blackburn!)! It has to be a k-12 classroom... Details on the link below. Good Luck!

i'm a little disappointed about the blah style of my wiki, but i guess it's too late to re-post everything on a different site that gives more layout options.

FEEL FREE TO DELETE THE VOKIs IF THEY SCREW EVERYTHING ELSE UP--they seem to work OK on my blog...

Sound clips

Just added one last sound clip to my movie and used http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/index.php

The rise of the truly "mobile novel"!

The UK Times Online website has a fascinating story about "books published, read and, in several cases, written on mobile telephones, most of them by young women in their 20s." Needless to say, this has sparked some pretty intense debate over what counts as "literature" and the "future pf reading". It certainly has enormous implications for narrative consumption and production!

Who knew playing World of Warcraft could save lives?

Here's a marvellous story on how playing World of Warcraft helped equip one young Norwegian lad with some pretty handy life skills.

The English commentary on this event is by Torill Mortensen, a friend of mine (had dinner with her last week in NYC, actually), who is about to publish a book on gaming.

Can anyone help?

I know it's a shot in the dark but I figured that I'd try. Excuse my typing and grammar. It may be a bit messy because I'm freaking out! Last night I was putting some final touches on my Stop-Motion Project when my computer froze. I had no option but to shut down and restart. In the mean time I was adding stuff and editing stuff so when I turned it back on several pictures were missing. I may be overreacting here but I synced the pictures to a song and since there were some missing it completely threw the rest of the project off. I tried reshooting the pictures but if it's not in the exact spot it looks jumpy and the some stuff just doesn't look right. All in all my original video looked SO good. I was so proud of myself and never thought I could do something that good and now it just looks ok and a little sloppy in parts. I have heard people say you can delete stuff all you want but it's still there somewhere and I'm just wondering if there's any possible way to try and retrieve it???? It just sucks that I put in so many hours and I was so happy and excited and now in the blink of an eye it's a mess! :-(
