Hey everyone just want to make sure I got this right. are we discussing the NJCCCS 3.5? and are we discussing it in relation from k-12? any thoughts? thanks!
My understanding is that we can focus just on the grade levels of kids that we work with...Also, we can discuss other area content standards as to how they might cross-connect to the technology standards (such as use of fanfiction to address language arts and technology). I think we are also supposed to evaluate how realistic the tech standards are in relation to what the kids actually can do.
at least that's my understanding! maybe Michele needs to reiterate for all of us...
Innes and Mirijana--you're both absolutely spot on! thanks for clarifying! for those of you whose grade level of interest is addressed in the NJCCCSs, you can go beyond 3.2 and 3.5 if you like, but it's not mandatory.

In the syllabus it says: writing and viewing/media literacy strands, so that would be 3.2 and 3.5 -- at least that's how I interpreted it.
